Summary

OriginLens analyzes disk usage entirely on your Mac. It does not collect, transmit or sell personal information. There is no account, no telemetry, no analytics and no advertising.

What the app scans

Only the folders or volumes you choose. For each item it reads metadata: name, location, size, dates, type, ownership and extended attributes such as download information. File contents are not read during scans. The optional duplicate analysis reads the contents of candidate files on your Mac to compute fingerprints; files stored only in iCloud are skipped so nothing is downloaded.

What stays on your Mac

Scan results, the cleanup journal (a record of what was moved to the Trash) and cached fingerprints are stored in the app's private storage on your Mac. You can delete them at any time in Settings › Privacy. Uninstalling the app and removing its container also removes them.

Network access

The app makes no network connections. When you choose a link such as “Release Notes” or “Privacy Policy”, it opens in your default web browser; the app itself sends nothing.

Optional intelligence features

Built-in rules classify files and decide every safety level. A placeholder for an on-device model exists but no model ships with this version. Remote classification is not available; if it is ever added, it will be off by default, require explicit consent, show exactly what would be sent (never file contents) and never make deletion decisions.

This website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Your web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and reliability.
